I must say, you put a lot of effort into this picture. Like what StealUrSoul said, he doesn't want you to view him as a weakling (Was I too strong about that? No answers? Okay.). This is fantastic! GANBATTE!
(ºº)"... ... ... akjsdhasiudhskjfhskajdhfiaeufhkajdthat'ssoawesomeandamazingandIthinkthatthatisthemostamazingideaI'veeverseenadnomigodhe'ssocoolandatthesametimeIfeellikeI'vejustseensomethingIshouldn'thave. Okay... Ahem. Just had to get that out of my system. I think this is one of your best drawings by far. It even beats the crying Midorima. I'm not quite sure where to start so I'll just jump in. First of all the position is so perfect, his hand covering half of the page making it feel you're looking though the camera lens. It's so real that every time I look at him I feel like I'm violating poor Akashi. I'm not sure if you actually did this, if by mistake or purposeful, or if it's just and illusion– but his head seems to be tilted just a fraction to the right, making the "photo" all the more real. Akashi's personality would be very hard to capture whilst crying, so I can easily say you did a superb job. That little smile is so perfect, you played it off in a way that didn't look mocking or happy, but in a very sad and painful demeanor. Yet again another note on the hand– Because you can't see his entire face, it's almost as if the thought isn't completed. I have a very hard time imagining Akashi cry, so I was waiting to see how you would portray it. Since I cannot see his entire face, it leaves a little bit of mystery around the drawing which pulls you in.
I can't find many criticism's in the drawing, so I think this is going to be made up entirely of compliments, so forgive me if it's botherful. On a side note, you've definitely improved on coloring since I have watched you, which wasn't so long ago. The hair almost looks 3d and the shadowing on the hand is well done!! I do have one question, which is: What's the black stripe on the left? Great work Mickytaka!
Haha. I've been waiting for another one of your long comments. You just made my day.
I actually did move his head on the right, because it looked more realistic, as if he wanted to hide even more from the camera... I mean, that's what I do when I don''t want people to see me cry.
Akashi crying is one of the many things I want to see in the manga, but I really can't imagine how it would look like... It's even too complicated for my immagination to pull it out, so yeah. XD
I'm glad you like my colouring, because I work really hard on it... The problem is that, sometimes, my pencils are like wild horses which don't want to colour in a good way, no matter how hard you try (fortunately it doesn't happen so often), but looks like that doesn't happen in Akashi's case. That's probably because he alwys wears nice clothes and his hair isn't even complicated to colour (God blessed red).
The black stripe on the left is actually his tie
Thanks again for your comment; I hope I'll get more in my future works.
